Our Laser Hair Removal Course covers both the science and application of 4 types of laser hair removal devices as well as laser hair removal training. This is necessary for students who are looking to find employment in medical spas, physicians’ offices and clinics. To be completed in the following 2 parts:
The Laser Hair Removal Course is approved by Texas Department of Licensing and Registration as well as Texas Workforce Commission for the state of Texas Laser Hair Removal Technician license.
It is important to keep in mind that the person who wants to perform the laser technician job must undergo some type of laser technician training regardless if they are estheticians or practicing dermatologists.
Laser technician training will enable laser technicians to learn how to perform the follow services:
Due to drastic improvements, laser treatments have become more in-demand. For example, Photo-rejuvenation and laser hair removal are among the top nonsurgical cosmetic treatments in the United States. Laser technician training is a beneficial way to expand one’s career.
COST: $2,000.00

Classes must be paid in full prior to enrollment.

* An individual must not perform LHR procedures unless under the direct supervision of a senior LHR technician or an LHR professional.
An applicant for an LHR apprentice-in-training certification must:
(1) be at least 18 years of age.
(2) have at least 24 hours of training in:
(A) LHR device safety;
(B) laser physics;
(C) skin typing;
(D) skin reactions;
(E) treatment protocols;
(F) burns;
(G) eye protection;
(H) emergencies; and
(I) post-treatment protocols.
(3) have an additional 16 hours of training in:
(A) cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (a valid cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certificate may be used to satisfy up to eight hours of the training required by this subparagraph);
(B) review of client's pre-existing conditions to determine if consultation with a consulting physician is needed for possible diagnosis or treatment;
(C) review of client's previous LHR procedures by another modality;
(D) review of client's current medications to determine if any medications need to be brought to the attention of the consulting physician based on established protocols;
(E) proper signage and posting;
(F) use of an LHR device; and
(G) anesthesia used in conjunction with LHR procedures.
